Christchurch's five most searched suburbs on RealEstate.co.nz
These are the five most searched suburbs in Christchurch, for buying and for renting. And one suburb tops both lists.
Ed has just been handed the search data, and it shows that the people buying homes and the people renting them are looking for very different things.
In this video, Ed counts down the most wanted Christchurch suburbs and says which ones are home owner suburbs, renter suburbs, or both:

● Why Riccarton is a renter suburb, with about 69% of residents renting

● And which suburbs are popular with both
What this means for Christchurch property investors: when you buy a rental, you are the buyer, but it’s the tenant who pays the rent.
