How Much Wealth Do you Need to be in the Top 10% and 1% in NZ?
Where you sit on the NZ wealth ladder depends a lot on how old you are.
At 30, being worth $220,000 puts you in the top 20% for your age.
At 55, you would need $940,000 to be in the same position.
In this video, Ed breaks down the NZ wealth rankings by age, from top 50% all the way to top 1%:
● Why the gap between wealth levels widens dramatically as Kiwis get older
● Why the decisions you make in your 30s and 40s determine where you land in your 60s
● Why the top 10% is mostly couples in their 50s who quietly paid off two mortgages
● Why wealth tends to fall after 75 as retirees spend what they have built
