Hi, I am Melissa, the people-focused accountant here at Opes Accounting.
I value human connection - which brings me to my role here making life easier for our clients, building meaningful relationships, earning trust and understanding the stories behind the numbers. After working in the public practice for 17 years, I have come to realise that I enjoy working closely with people, can be quietly obsessive about getting the details right, yet aim to make every interaction a positive one.
Beyond the work screens, I would be building memories with my loved ones and friends devouring food, dessert, whiskey, wine and exchanging banter. Other times, going for walks in the forest, helping out at church, attending swim training and admiring art pieces make up some of the simple pleasures in my life.
