- Dean O'BrienMy wife and i chose to build with Keith Hay Homes Tauranga branch based in Te Puke. It was an easy choice for many reasons, the final house plan we chose fitted out section perfectly and we added some of the standard options to the FC100, Ensuite, Front door and changed 1 window for French doors. This allowed us to really maximize the plan and the use of our sloping site. We would like to purchase a rental in the furfure and we will be keeping Keith Hay Homes in our contacts list to deliver a cost effective house with great returns. Cheers From the O'Brien Family4/5 stars
- ashleigh strangeThe communication is absolutely appalling Update 10/6 - ive noticed a positive review left recently by Dean O'Brien. This appears to be a conflict of interest, since he is employed as a manager for by Keith Hay homes. Why not mention this in your review?. I've reported with Google who even have a report option for a conflict of interest 05/25 As an update up from my original statement. We did discuss our valid concerns and ended up in Small claims court ,which we won I am disgusted at the Ethics and professionalism of Mr Hay. For anyone looking to purchase ,not just from the Drury branch. I would start by asking how long the team have been working there . ( Not the sales rep) But the actual team you will be talking to and dealing with once work commences. If it's less than 18months I'd run. The staff turn over is high ,which is so telling. I regard our build as lucky, because our builder was a subcontractor to KHH and pushed back on incorrect practices and bullying, likely saving us time , effort ,money and living with mistakes. Still have had more than our fair share of issues and incorrect processes though. In comparison to other peoples stories the length of their builds , pricing blow outs and the standard of what they were left with , we are ""Lucky" Thank you for the opportunity to discuss further. I have always tried this with KHH and have been meet with aggression, lies, handing out of our private information to contractors outside of the build ,without asking. Have been simply not responded too more times that I can count both from Drury and Head office . Then the payment due to us from Small claims court was late and we had to file for further action and Mr Hays excuse ( not apology).....we don't have a mail box for the letter to be delivered too! Simply unbelievable, it starts at the top1/5 stars
- BarryHave had two Keith Hay Houses, always been easy to deal with, quality of finish great...Totally recommend them , will worth at least a visit to check out the options. 10 years ago we had the first house delivered to Motuoapa, from Drury. Every thing went to plan. Most importantly though was how well it stood up to an earth quake that hit around 1am. It was a good shaker, cutting power for 2/3 days due to fallen trees. Despite the harshness of the shaking over 2 days, we only had very minor damage...under two windows the wall paper had stretched leaving a crinkle over the gib joint, and there was a faint hair line crack in a ceiling joint. We never repaired it, no need the damage was so minor, other properties were not so lucky....A well built house 👍5/5 stars
