"I Regret Paying Down Debt" – When Paying Off Debt Is The Wrong Decision
In this episode, we share a case study of a listener of the show who regrets paying down debt.
We share how they sold a property and paid down their personal mortgage. This investor wanted to re-borrow against his home to purchase an investment property.
But he decided to wait because it wasn't the right time to buy. When the investor was ready to grow his investment portfolio, his house value had dropped.
That meant he couldn't get the money from the bank for the deposit. Ultimately he found himself saying, "I wish I hadn't paid down debt."
