- Ying WangAvoid Renting Through Pragma – Extremely disappointed 😡 We are deeply dissatisfied with how Pragma Property Management handled a critical electricity issue at our new rental, <5*>Pragma Rise. After moving in, we lost power within two weeks and immediately contacted our property manager for assistance. Instead of helping, she told us there was nothing she could do and advised us to contact our power company. After taking time off work to investigate, we discovered several serious issues: • The meter number (ICP) on record did not match our address. • The property had never been registered for electricity. • No application had been made to connect the property. As a result, we were forced to pay additional fees to resolve the issue—something we have never experienced when moving into a new home. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that Pragma had previously asked us for our ICP number and meter details from our previous property, assuring us they would handle the electricity transfer. However, it is now clear that no action was taken. If this was not a service they provided, they should have informed us rather than leading us to believe everything was set up. When we raised our concerns, our property manager refused to take responsibility, instead blaming Moving Hub. While we understand that this may not have been entirely her fault, our tenancy agreement is with Pragma—not Moving Hub. Since Pragma partnered with them, it was Pragma’s responsibility to ensure our details were handled correctly. To make matters worse, when reconnecting our electricity, we discovered that both our electricity and gas daily rates had doubled. Because we were not informed that our electricity wasn’t transferred properly, we were disconnected and then treated as new customers by the provider, losing the usual loyalty rates we had always received when moving. This has made our move significantly more expensive. This experience has caused unnecessary stress, especially since we rely on refrigerated medication. The lack of support, accountability, and professionalism from Pragma has been extremely disappointing. We would not recommend this agency to anyone looking for a reliable and responsible property management company.1/5 stars
